Well, the end of term has come. I am officially on my summer holiday, and I will not be returning to that school again, except perhaps to visit. Some of the kids were pretty upset about it, really. I got a “star teacher” card and some bath and shower bits, and some lovely cards from the staff and a mug with a lighthouse on it.

I’ve enjoyed my early weekend off, but it does feel like I should be going back on Monday. Ah well, new exciting things await. Anyone got ideas for what I can do in August? Visiting friends is a priority, so book me soon!

Yes! Yes, it did! The number 17 served me well. We had a lovely meal followed by a lesson in roulette by the manager, then we were let loose on the real tables. I put in a tenner and got out forty pounds, so didn’t do so bad! It bought a cd and a birthday present for my god-daughter on saturday. (She’s nine. Nine!) Others did do better, it must be said. Philippa did best, putting in 20 and getting out 94! Whoo! A fun night had by all.

Anyway, I said there was exciting news. I’m moving! From, well, now, I suppose – I do have the keys – I will be lodging with a lovely lady called Sandy in Camberley, along with her younger daughter (19), another lodger, 3 cats and a golden retriever called Bailey. It looks like it’s gonna be fun, I’m looking forward to it. It’s a lot closer to the school, especially as I’ve been commuting from Mum and Dad’s since February half term. Things just got a bit too much living with Steve. Change of address cards/emails will be sent out as appropriate/on request. If you haven’t got one by May, ask me!

I like this theme, I think I’ll keep it for a while. Don’t you just love new crayons? I do. So pointy and perfect and unsullied. It makes me feel all happy inside. Mmmmmm.

They all did really well and I was so proud of them all, especially after the dramas of last week. Don’t ask. Children were removed and incident forms were written. But enough of that, this week was much better! Indeed it was the highlight of my day. Not that that was hard, mind. After having a ball thrown repeatedly at my head at about 12.10 this afternoon you’d think it could only get better, eh? Someone (or in this case, several someones) usually manages to restore my faith in humanity when I’m having a bad day, and today was no exception. *beam*

In other news, I’ll be at home this weekend, and will possibly celebrate Shrove Tuesday early with Mum and Dad. Enjoy your weekend!
